A free global webinar on MRI physics takes place on 27th July, courtesy of Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging. The webinar will be hosted by speaker Dr Steve Roberts PhD. Steve is Technical Director at Hallmarq and has over 25 years’ experience developing MRI systems. He has worked on both high and low field MRI systems, including obtaining the world’s first 4.7T human head images, so brings unrivalled expertise to the topic.

Delegates can register to watch the live event at http://veteducation.com.au/webinars/an-introduction-to-mri-physics/ (or http://bit.ly/29MutNf) and a recording will be available to watch again for those that cannot attend on the day. The event is likely to be of particular interest to veterinary specialists, residents, MRI technicians, or general practice vets with an interest in diagnostic imaging or neurology.

The event takes place at 12.30 EST and there’s a handy link to work out what time this translates to in the delegates own time zone: http://bit.ly/29xSkig.

The topics to be discussed include practical considerations such as how to obtain the signal needed to create images, different scan types and minimizing image artefacts, as well as more advanced discussions on the physics of MRI including spatial encoding, gradient echo and spin echo.

The event is expected to attract veterinary specialists from around the world and offers a unique opportunity to enjoy a detailed and expert overview about getting the best out of MRI.
