Invited to join Pfizer’s senior management team by Managing Director, John Hanley, Ned brings with him a wealth of experience in the animal health sector and a sound understanding of the challenges faced by those operating in this arena, from understanding how to successfully meet veterinary practice needs as a supplier right through to how to grow and develop the single vet practice operating in an increasingly competitive market-place.

Speaking about his appointment and the Vet Support+ initiative he is spearheading, Ned is delighted to have joined a company that has a very clear strategic view for the future of the industry; “It’s a tremendous honour to join Pfizer Animal Health at such an exciting time. I know firsthand the challenges vet practices are facing and wholly believe that through Vet Support+ we can deliver a solution, which will bring about real change for the industry. It’s not enough for an animal health company to simply sell drugs, we need to help our colleagues in vet practices across the country also deliver a great service to achieve growth and job satisfaction all round.”

Following an Animal Science Degree, Ned Ned joined the Royal Navy where his role included a year as a navigator aboard HMY Britannia – the Royal Yacht. Then, with an MBA from Cranfield under his belt, Ned joined Intervet in 2000 to manage the integration with Hoechst Roussel Vet. Eight years later, having achieved the role of Business Unit Director, Ned was invited to join the board of Companion Care as Operations Director, responsible for 60 veterinary surgeries, over 650 employees and a £31m turnover. This solid animal health pedigree ensures he brings a wealth of highly relevant experience to Pfizer Animal Health.
