Experienced animal health marketeer Andrew Connolly has joined Virbac to manage its Vet Complex range of pet food, which is sold exclusively through veterinary practices across the UK.  In this role he will develop the marketing strategy for the premium nutrition range, working with his team of Territory Managers to build awareness, understanding and sales.  He will also develop the portfolio of support services Virbac offers to Vet Complex customers.

Andrew graduated with a first class honours degree in Animal Welfare and went on to hold a number of marketing roles with animal health companies. He also holds the Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional Diploma in Marketing.

Vet Complex is a premium dry pet food range, developed and manufactured by Virbac.  It offers a compact range of highly palatable life stage and clinical diets for dogs and cats.

Commenting on his appointment, Andrew said:  "Feeding an animal the correct diet makes a significant difference to its health and wellbeing, making nutrition a cornerstone of animal health.  I'm looking forward to introducing veterinary surgeons to our approach to pet food in veterinary practice and showing them the difference that Vet Complex can make, both to their clients and to their practice."

Andrew Connolly reports to Alan Chadwick, Companion Animal Business Unit Director at Virbac.  He said:  "The Vet Complex range is one of the leading nutrition brands in France and is proving increasingly popular with practices in the UK.  Andrew joins us with an impressive track record and will help us to build our presence in the pet food sector further."

Founded by a veterinary surgeon, Virbac is dedicated to supporting the veterinary profession through the development of innovative products and services, which help animals to lead longer, healthier lives.  One of the largest independent veterinary pharmaceutical companies in the world, its wide product portfolio includes many market-leading and award-winning products for large and small animals.

Virbac (www.virbac.co.uk) aims to work in close partnership with its customers, providing the advice and support they need to run successful, profitable businesses.
