A Nurse Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care Nursing is a new addition to Improve International's range of Nurse Certificate Programmes, which commence between November 2013 and January 2014 at venues in Cranage, Swindon and St Albans.
Other Nurse Certificate courses include Anaesthesia and Animal Behaviour and Improve also offers a Certificate in Practice Management and Administration which is suitable for vets, nurses and receptionists. The Emergency and Critical Care Nursing, Anaesthesia and Animal Behaviour training programmes are accredited by Harper Adams University for the first time this year, with successful students receiving their qualification from the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ESVPS). This Certificate qualification will shortly provide a route to the award of a Graduate Certificate in Professional Studies. This carries 40 academic credits which may be used towards a higher future award.
The programmes are offered as modular courses but also as one and two day courses to give maximum flexibility.
Commenting on the launch of this year's Nurse Certificate programmes, David Babington MRCVS, Managing Director of Improve International, said: "We're delighted to be enhancing the quality of training we provide to VNs. The brand new course in Emergency and Critical Care Nursing is already creating a great deal of interest with many nurses keen to upskill in this demanding but rewarding area of practice.
Meanwhile, thanks to our collaboration with Harper Adams University, our existing and already popular Nurse Certificates will now offer a route to the award of a Graduate Certificate in Professional Studies.
Feedback from previous students confirms that those who continue their studies benefit from their enhanced knowledge and skills through increased confidence and job satisfaction and through increased employability. We look forward to welcoming this year's students."
