Norbrook Laboratories Has A New Antibiotic For Treating Soft Tissue Infections

Norbrook Laboratories Ltd has expanded its popular small animal range with a new antibiotic for treating soft tissue infections. MYCINOR tablets for dogs is a Clindamycin antibotic offering antibacterial protection for the treatment of infected wounds and absesses particularly infected mouth cavities and dental infections. “Clindamycin is one of the leading prescription medicines used to treat soft tissue infections and offers very effective treatment particularly for dental and oral infections,” explains Rebekah Dudek, Norbrook Veterinary Advisor. “MYCINOR can be used to treat infected mouth cavities and oral infections and to provide antimicrobial cover prior to dental procedures such as tooth removal, scale & polish etc. Beyond dental expertise, MYCINOR can also be used to treat soft tissue infections, skin infections in the form of superficial pyoderma and osteomyelitis bone infections. MYCINOR is a fast acting antibiotic, rapidly absorped into the body with effective levels within 30 minutes of administration.” MYCINOR is offered in a range of size options and offers options for administration to allow for convenient dosing for pet owner. “MYCINOR is a very effective and safe antibotic and is ideal for long and short term treatments,” adds Ms Dudek. “It can be dosed once daily or at twice daily intervals if preferred.” Available for a variety of sizes of dog, MYCINOR is available as 25mg, 75mg and 150mg in packs of 100tablets, and as a 300mg tablet in a pack of 150 tablets.
