Friday 8th February saw the Vet students of Nottingham University let their hair down at their Narnia themed 5th Annual Vet Student Ball. Vets4Pets sponsored the event as part of the continued work Vets4Pets does with the Nottingham Vet School, in regards to EMS programmes and sponsoring the year’s programme of events.
Guest were welcomed by a drinks reception where they were entertained by a fantastic magician, and then entered the main banqueting suite, in true Narnia style via a wardrobe in to a room decorated with a forest complete with snow.
The evening has been described by the students as a great success, with speeches from the Society President; Abi Jennings and the Senior Social Secretary Andrew Yale, followed by the annual awards ceremony for Tutor of the year and individual achievements.
The evening continued with entertainment from a four piece band and later a DJ. With plenty of great food and of course a tipple or two!
“The Vet Student Ball is one of the social highlights of the academic year for veterinary students and staff. Each year the organisers compete with the success of the previous year to make the ball bigger, better and more special. Once again the Ball of 2013 was a huge success, and that is in no small part to the generosity of those that kindly sponsor this event; this year being Vets4Pets and Royal Canin. To them we all say a huge thank you”.
