ONCORE ePD have just completed the first run of their module entitled 'Nurse Clinics - putting your ideas into practice'.
The module was a great success judging by the really positive feedback received.
ONCORE provide 100% online CPD to VNs, but with a novel approach - use of a bespoke Virtual Learning Environment, social discussion forums for candidates to share ideas, and regular tutor feedback on work.
As Jill, founder of ONCORE and tutor for this module says, 'It's so valuable to be able to share with other VNs in the same position, and ONCORE are really quite unique in offering that opportunity. All the nurses utilised the forums really well, and there were loads of brilliant ideas going backwards and forwards.'
The Nurse Clinics module covers many aspects of setting up and running nurse clinics in practice, including implementing new ideas, pricing of consultations, developing supporting literature and marketing. The learning involves methods such as research, discussion, and formation of protocols and marketing materials, to take back into the workplace.
Candidate testimonials include:
"The 'Nurse Clinics' course covered a lot of very relevant areas which have already started using, and will use in the future."
"The tutor was very knowledgeable and gave good constructive feedback on completed work, and was readily available for support".
Carolyn Turrall RVN
"Really good course – I particularly liked the forum based side of it – having an area to discuss ideas and what you’ve been learning is really, really useful!"
Vicky Lilley RVN
