Veterinary nurses seeking to improve their knowledge of Orthopaedics and Digestive Health are invited to sign up to one of three inaugural CPD courses organised by the nutritional supplements firm Lintbells, whose products include YUMEGA Plus and YUMOVE as well as their veterinary-strength supplements.
The aim of the day-long course is to help veterinary practice staff increase footfall and general sales by covering a wide range of subjects, which as well as Orthopaedics, will include Senior Clubs, New Product Information, Building Your Practice Sales Opportunities and more.
The training is being spearheaded by Anna Prest who joined Lintbells last year from Royal Canin where she had responsibility for organising and running the company’s successful Pet Health Counsellor (PHC) nurse courses. Guest speakers from the RVC have been confirmed for these first events.
Anna said: “This is an exciting new development for Lintbells and I am delighted to be leading it and working closely with our regional Veterinary Business Development Executives who have been keen to get involved and share their considerable experience in the veterinary profession as most of them are qualified Veterinary Nurses themselves.
“The course will provide the nurses with more nutritional knowledge and the confidence to speak to their clients about problem areas and products. The training will also be of interest from a practice manager’s point of view if they are planning to develop in particular areas for their clients.”
The courses will be offered in different regions of the country with six different locations planned. Dates and locations confirmed so far are:
Thursday 28th February – Bristol
Tuesday 5th March – Haydock, near Warrington
Wednesday 21st March – Peterborough
The company aims to make them affordable and give continuous follow up support. Each course will have lunch and refreshments included.
Anna added: “I know how important it is in CPD training to make the most of a day like this. It’s often an opportunity for interaction with colleagues and like-minded people, which allows for sharing of best practice and new ideas.”
