PDSA's landmark Animal Wellbeing Report about dogs, cats and rabbits provides ground breaking information about the health of pets in the UK today.

PDSA has produced the first ever comprehensive measure of animal wellbeing in the UK, revealing the state of our pet nation - The PDSA Animal Wellbeing (PAW) Report

Over 11,000 pet owners were surveyed to find out how dogs, cats and rabbits are cared for.

For the Report PDSA has assessed the five key things pets need to live a healthy and happy life as outlined in The Animal Welfare Act.

  2. Diet - The need for a suitable diet
  3. Behaviour - The need to express normal behaviour
  4. Companionship - The need to live with, or apart, from other animals
  5. Health - The need to be protected from pain, suffering, injury and disease
