Pfizer’s Equine Vaccines Join The Equip® Stable

Pfizer Animal Health’s Duvaxyn® and Artervac® equine vaccines have been rebranded to join the pharmaceutical company’s well-known stable of Equip equine vaccines.

• The Equine Herpes Virus (EHV) vaccine Duvaxyn EHV 1,4 has been rebranded Equip EHV 1,4.
• The equine rotavirus vaccine Duvaxyn R has been rebranded Equip Rotavirus.
• The West Nile Virus vaccine Duvaxyn WNV has been rebranded Equip WNV.
• The equine arteritis vaccine Artervac has been rebranded Equip Artervac.

These products join Pfizer’s trusted stable of flu and tetanus vaccines Equip F, Equip FT and Equip T. Equip® FT is a suspension for injection ISCOM vaccine containing Equine InfluenzaA/Equine/1 Newmarket '77 (10 ug), Equine Influenza A/Equine/2 Borlange '91 (20 ug) and Equine Influenza A/Equine/2 Kentucky '98 (1.4 ug) and immunopurified tetanus toxoid (100 Lf units). Also contains the adjuvant Quil A. Equip® T is a suspension for injection containing immunopurified tetanus toxoid (100 Lf units) and the adjuvant aluminium phosphate. Equip® EHV 1,4 is a suspension for injection containing inactivated EHV1, strain 438/77: not less than 107.3 TCID50, inactivated EHV4, strain 405/76: not less than 107.3TCID50 and 6 mg Carbopol 934P as adjuvant. Equip® Artervac contains inactivated Equine Arteritis Vaccine, Bucyrus strain RP* = 1.0 - 1.8 and Squalane* 1.61 mg adjuvant as component of MetaStim (that also contains Pluronic L-121 and Polysorbate 80). Equip® Rotavirus is an inactivated adjuvanted liquid vaccine in single dose syringes for administration to pregnant mares. Each single vaccine dose contains 1ml of an inactivated oil adjuvanted vaccine of Equine Rotavirus H2 strain, RP ? 1.0* per 1ml dose. Equip® WNV is an emulsion for injection for horses. Each dose of 1ml contains inactivated West Nile Virus, strain VM-2, RP* 1.0 - 2.2.
