Professor Agnes Winter Honoured

Professor Agnes Winter BVSc PhD DSHP DipECSRHM MRCVS FRAgS was today (Saturday) announced as the recipient of the British Veterinary Association’s most prestigious scientific award.

Professor Winter has had a highly distinguished career in veterinary teaching and research which she has dedicated to improving sheep health and welfare and encouraging dissemination of her expert knowledge to veterinary students, farmers, government and other relevant organisations.

The Dalrymple-Champneys Cup and Medal, awarded to mark and recognise work of outstanding merit, which it is considered will encourage the advancement of veterinary science, were presented to Professor Winter during the Awards Ceremony at the BVA’s Annual Congress in Cardiff today (Saturday).
