One-day workshops to boost confidence in the consultation room Following the success of its first ‘Concordance & Compliance’ workshop last year, Royal Canin is hosting a series of additional sessions to help consulting vets and nurses improve their impact on their clients; inspiring them to act on recommendations. The one day events will feature interactive actor-led workshops exploring the factors that contribute to lasting compliance. It will set a ‘best practice’ approach for anyone frequently interacting with clients – how to make a truly impactful recommendation through gaining acceptance and ensuring concrete follow-through actions are made. Ultimately, the skills learned on this course will lead to greater clinical success as well as business performance. The first event of 2014 is in Manchester on 19 February, with additional workshops scheduled on 5 March in Coventry and on 11 June in Woking. The events will feature presentations and interactive workshops co-ordinated by business consultant Geoff Little MVB MRCVS and Royal Canin’s Veterinary Support Manager, Lee Danks MRCVS. Lee commented: “Ensuring compliance is an often unrecognised and assumed skill of those in our profession, who see so many pet owners in their working day. These workshops will focus on the consulting vet and how plain, simple, self-aware and confident communication can make a lasting impression on a client. We’ll also examine how a united team approach will ensure the best results in compliance and give delegates both the tools and a tangible plan for improving the entire practice’s confidence in client communications.” The workshops costs £150 (including VAT) and places can be booked by calling 01963 353127 or emailing [email protected] / [email protected]. Lee concluded: “Royal Canin is renowned for its nutritional expertise but we want practices to know that our support extends beyond just products. We have created highly tailored and very practical learning opportunities to appeal to busy vet practices.”
