ROYAL CANIN To Focus On The Weight Management Journey In Latest Webinar
ROYAL CANIN® is giving veterinary professionals the opportunity to view the journey of weight management from three different perspectives in its latest webinar. Hosted by ROYAL CANIN’S Weight Management Clinic Nurse, Georgia Woods RVN CertCFVHNut PHC, the webinar is running on Tuesday 13th June at 8pm and will explore weight management from a patient, owner and nurse/vet perspective.
‘The Three Key Perspectives of Weight Management’ webinar will cover subjective and objective measures that can be used to assess a patient’s quality of life, how to overcome owner’s personal beliefs, how to change their existing behaviours to ensure a successful weight management journey and the education that nurses should seek to manage weight in practice with confidence.
Georgia, who deals exclusively with pets that have obesity at the University of Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital, said: “The weight management journey is a difficult one, not only for the patient but for pet owners and veterinary professionals alike. We are in a crucial position to make great improvements to the quality of life of overweight patients, therefore it is essential that we have an understanding of how to help our patients and their owners and use the tools at our disposal to successfully tackle pet obesity.”
