The RSPCA aim to ensure that all cats, dogs and other small animals that are brought into the East Norfolk branch. These animals may have been bought in because of neglect or ill-treatment or because they are no longer wanted and are given the best possible care by RSCPA before being re-homed. Branch Manager, Debra Cook, said “RSPCA East Norfolk is absolutely delighted to have won the Petplan charity prize draw. We are always in desperate need of funds to help the many sick and injured animals that come into our care. Many of the animals are suffering from serious injuries or from neglect. This money will go towards veterinary care for these animals. Without donations like this, we would be unable to continue the work we do, so thank you to Petplan from the bottom of our hearts.” Working with more rehoming charities than any other insurer, Petplan helps fund the care of thousands of homeless cats and dogs throughout the UK. Petplan offer four weeks free insurance to every owner adopting pets through the shelters it supports and also offers free insurance vouchers to visitors and supporters of the charities. Each month a prize draw is held from all the insurance vouchers issued and one charity benefits from the prize fund. Isabella Von Mesterhazy, Head of Marketing at Petplan says, “We are pleased to be able to provide this donation to RSPCA East Norfolk, they do a fantastic job caring for animals in the community. We also understand what a difficult time it can be rehoming an animal and are glad to offer new owners four weeks free cover to give them this extra peace of mind during the first few weeks of their pet’s life in a new environment. Having your pet insured is an important part of taking care of its future health.” Petplan is committed to aiding the valuable work that re-homing shelters do. Charities such as Battersea, Cats Protection, Blue Cross and Dogs Trust are just a few of those that have benefited.
