Following the success of the 2013 Sheep Vet Society (SVS) webinar series a further schedule has been put in place for 2014. The new series starts in January and the broad range of topics includes anthelmintic resistance to perinatal lamb mortality
Hosted by The Webinar Vet, the webinars were watched by vets as far away as the Falkland Islands, and SVS organiser Matt Colston BVM&S CertSHP MRCVS says numbers surpassed expectations. “We expected 30 - 40 members to sign in but we had more than 70 for some of the webinars.
“For some of our remote members a one day seminar can mean more than two days of time away from the practice once travel has been taken into account. The convenience of webinar CPD is invaluable for many of our members,” he notes.
The same number of events is planned again next year, the only difference is that the content will be more detailed. An example is ectoparasites he says: “Rather than one webinar broadly covering the topic, information will be broken down to a number of webinars covering separate individual species in more depth.”
