SPILLERS® has renewed its sponsorship of the British Grooms Association for a further 12 months. The feed manufacturer has provided loyal support for the organisation since its inception in May 2007.

SPILLERS® is one of the UK’s best known manufacturers of horse feeds with a portfolio of over 30 products to suit every feeding requirement. The company is committed to making knowledge and understanding of equine nutrition more accessible and to this end introduced an equine nutrition qualification exclusively for BGA members last year. SPILLERS® also employs two competition nutritionists. Sarah Corbin and Ali Ashley, both experienced horse owners and competitors, provide specialist nutrition advice and support for competition yards, free of charge.

The BGA is a national organisation for grooms of all disciplines aiming to bring together those who work in this sector of the equine industry and give all members a sense of belonging. The organisation aims to increase national and international recognition of grooms, and the work that they do.

Sarah Kitson, Marketing Manager of Mars Horsecare UK said: “The BGA provides an invaluable service, helping to give hundreds of the UK’s hard-working grooms the appreciation they deserve. We are delighted to continue with our sponsorship and also with the provision of practical nutritional advice to support grooms in making the right feed decisions on a day-to-day basis.”

If you run a competition yard or stud and would like Ali or Sarah to visit, or if you would like some friendly feeding advice over the phone please call Ali on 07557 110636, e-mail alexandra.ashley@effem-equine.com or Sarah on 07584 705004, e-mail sarah.corbin@effem-equine.com.
