The Blue Cross rescues and rehomes horses and ponies from around the UK and now Dengie Horse Feeds is proud to be supplying the charity with feed, to help these horses get a fresh start.

Horses taken in by the Blue Cross are frequently suffering from dietary problems, whether they are malnourished and underweight, or overweight and at risk from laminitis. As such, these horses benefit from a more natural high fibre diet as Dengie’s Senior Nutritionist Katie Williams explains: “Feeding Dengie alfalfa feeds alongside a broad spectrum supplement such as Dengie Vits & Mins will help these rescued horses recover and reach their ideal weight and health. A high fibre diet is the most natural way of feeding and a correct diet will help them to overcome weight, skin and behaviour problems so they can hopefully be rehomed.”

Dengie is supplying feed to the Burford Equine Centre in Oxfordshire and the Rolleston Equine Centre in Staffordshire and also supports the charity’s rehoming packs, so that each lucky new owner can continue with the Dengie diet.

Blue Cross Head of Rehoming Mandy Jones says: “I’m so pleased to have the support of Dengie Horse Feeds to help set our rescued equines on the right track. Dietary problems are sadly very common, so the Dengie diet is the perfect way to support the rehabilitation and recovery of horses and ponies in need.”
