At London Vet Show 2011, CPD Solutions gave away £100,000* worth of lifetime membership prizes to eight lucky winners. The prize recipients were Charlotte Rossor (Small Animal Practice), Zuzana Mervova (Neurology), Neil Rudram (Orthopaedics), Pamela Newman (Emergency and Critical Care), Nicola Cochrane (Nurses), Katherine Torr (Exotics), Gabriel Wertheimer (Equine) and Mark Leggett (Farm). Katherine Torr commented, “I'm delighted to have won this Lifetime Membership and I'm really looking forward to my first webinar!” The CPD Solutions’ team also took the opportunity to talk about four new Webinar Clubs launching in 2012, which include Farm, Equine, Emergency and Critical Care and Exotics, which were very well received by delegates. The existing topic specific Webinar Clubs in Small Animal Practice, Neurology, Nursing and Orthopaedics attracted many vets and nurses keen to continue to develop their skills. While the eight winners can now benefit from owning a CPD plan for life, many people take a more ad hoc approach. With a variety of topic specific webinar clubs now available, there are lots of opportunities for business owners to ensure that vets and nurses are able to access targeted CPD that meets individual training needs and also the aspirations for the practice. An up-front annual training plan can help individuals gain more from their CPD and CPD Solutions are now able to offer practice packages that mix and match the preferred combination of attendance and on-line CPD to produce a planned programme for the whole year for every individual in the team. The time spent pre-planning yields benefits in terms of better budgeting, manpower and succession planning and delivering more consistent training plans, compared to more ad hoc approaches. CPD Solutions are encouraging practice managers and partners to call one of their advisers on 0151 328 0444 during December to talk about customised training plans for their teams in 2012. For more details or to join a webinar club visit www.veterinarywebinars.com or call + 44 151 328 0444. * Webinar club membership at full price of £327 per year for 40 years (not allowing for price increases or inflation), applied to each of the eight clubs.
