The Vetstream Canis, Felis, Lapis And Equis Services Now Compatible With Multiple Devices, Browsers And Operating Systems

Vetstream logoVetstream today announced vast improvements to its website platform meaning that its subscribers can now access Vetstream’s flagship clinical information services: Vetstream Canis, Felis, Lapis and Equis, via:
  • the Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer and Opera browsers;
  • the Windows Apple or Linux operating systems; and
  • most mobile devices, including iPads, Blackberry, iPhone and Android smartphones.
The improvements to the Vetstream platform are a direct result of feedback obtained during a Vetstream customer survey at the end of 2010, whereby an overwhelming majority of subscribers requested the ability to access Vetstream content from any browser, operating system or device.

Additional changes to Vetstream’s system requirements mean that subscribers no longer have to download the Oracle plug-in onto each of their computers to access the content. All they need to do now is enter their username and password. This allows for significantly greater flexibility and several additional benefits:
  • For those in Group practices, customers will be able to access the Vetstream clinical services from any so called ‘dumb’ terminals within the practice;
  • Customers can choose their own memorable password for increased flexibility; and
  • Images have been reformatted and are now larger and easier to see.
“We are constantly looking for ways to improve our service to veterinary practices and have listened attentively and responded to what our customers have been telling us for years. We have now been able to deliver what vets have asked us for,” said Mark Johnston, Managing Director of Vetstream. “We have had a very positive response to these changes and will continue making improvements to our clinical information services in the months to come.”
