Two new managers have been appointed by Yorkshire based Vetsonic Ltd to help with the rapid growth of the company. Confusingly, they are both called Stuart!
Stuart Wilson has joined as Marketing Director and has worked in the veterinary supply industry since he joined The Veterinary Drug Company (now Henry Schein) in York in 1965.
He helped form the Vet Drug Instrument Dept. which later was developed into Animal Care Ltd. Then he was at Cox Surgical for many years, following in the footsteps of the legendary Bill Gimber.
While at Cox Surgical, Stuart and Oluf Jorgensen from Kruuse A/S Denmark decided that Kruuse needed a presence in the UK, so Kruuse UK was formed and Stuart worked there until he retired in April 2013.
Finding retirement was not as exciting as he thought, Stuart was invited to work for Ray Rochester and Kimmo Atkinson’s Vetsonic UK Ltd at Malton and jumped at the chance to keep in the industry.
Stuart Wade has joined as Marketing Development Manager. He joined Willington Medicals wholesalers as a trainee manager in 1983 spending six years with the company before leaving to further his career as a territory manager with Univet Ltd (now Vetoquinol). This lead to Stuart being promoted from Territory Manager, Field Sales Manager and then Sales Manager until earlier this year when he resigned after 26 years with the company. Stuart's new challenge and focus within Vetsonic is to help develop the Nutriscience Range in a competitive small animal market.
