Two new roles have been created by Dechra Veterinary Products which will offer dedicated support to equine veterinary professionals.
In a move demonstrating the company's commitment to the growing equine health market, Hilary Gates and Vicki Dawson have been appointed as Equine Account Managers in the UK.
The appointments have been made in response to demand for the company's substantial equine portfolio, which includes a range of licensed products, from local anaesthetics to products for sedation, analgesia and euthanasia.
Emma Jennings, Brand Manager, of Dechra Veterinary Products, said: “We're delighted to welcome Hilary and Vicki to their roles. Their experience and hands-on skills working with horses make them a great asset to the team.
“We see the appointments as an investment in this market, offering a consistent contact and specialist product and service support to equine vets.”
Hilary Gates is an Equine Science graduate and former equine veterinary nurse, working across theatre, lameness and critical care.
She said: “I'm looking forward to my new role and know that my experience of not only working in equine practice but being a horse owner gives me a good understand of both sides of equine health.”
Vicki Dawson, also a former equine veterinary nurse with a degree in Equine Science, has spent the last nine years working in the animal health market.
“I'm delighted to be one of the first two dedicated Equine Account Managers appointed by Dechra Veterinary Products and I'm looking forward to being able to offer an even higher level of service to equine vet practices across the country.”
As part of its support for the market, Dechra has introduced the Equine Passport leaflet, Controlled Drugs Register, educational websites and Veteq client leaflets as a result of its work with equine veterinarians.2029 views
