Paul Wilson from Wilson Veterinary Group in Bishop Auckland was the lucky winner at The Society of Practicing Veterinary Surgeons Congress (May 12–15) winning a hamper of tasty treats from Norbrook Laboratories, courtesy of Carprieve Flavoured Tablets ‘Put an end to Bad Taste’ campaign. This means vets can prescribe them with all confidence that the dogs will get their medicine, with less stress for both dog and owner. “As one of the sponsors at the event we had a great opportunity to promote our brand and get the word out about our new Carprieve Flavoured Tablets. The congress is small but focused, offering the chance to promote Norbrook Laboratories and to speak to our many current and potential customers.” Offering Cox-2 preferential pain release, Carprieve Tablets are indicated for chronic inflammation, such as degenerative joint disease in dogs, as well as post-operative pain management. Norbrook Laboratories launched the pork-flavoured tablets in response to concerns from vets and dog owners who were experiencing difficulties in getting dogs to take the medication. Ms Jones adds: "Tests have shown that 75% of dogs will take the flavoured tablets voluntarily. So I think it is fair to say that our new product has quite literally gone down well!"
