VETAID And CowParade

Author: VETAID

Did you see the cows? - Cows have always been central to VETAID’s work and we are thrilled to have played a major role in Edinburgh’s CowParade. CowParade is an event which has happened in many countries over the past ten years. The Parade consisted of a collection of over 100 fibre-glass cows, decorated by artists and local community groups and displayed throughout the city for two months.

VETAID was thrilled to be sponsored by supporters to decorate six cows with local school groups. Kids considered the importance of cattle in Africa through an interactive cattle trading game and decorated their cows to represent VETAID's African links and global concerns.

The time has now come for collectors to get their hands on the much coveted CowParade cows. The Edinburgh’s Parade has produced a stunning array of cows of an exceptional standard. These unique pieces of Art become available at a Gala Auction on the 7th of September at a prestigious Edinburgh location, yet to be disclosed. Numbers are strictly limited and demand for places has been high ever since the cows appeared on the streets.

Tickets are available to those who are keen to bid for their favourite cow. 75% of funds raised will to support the work of VETAID and One City Trust.
