VetEnvoy and ACT logos VetEnvoy, Inc. and Animal Care Technologies, Inc. (ACT) have announced a joint venture to develop a groundbreaking, web-based connectivity solution that will greatly improve communication between animal health suppliers and veterinary caregivers, ultimately benefitting pet owners. This real-time conduit for patient information will make two-way communication and service offerings available in a manner never before possible. By developing a unique, single portal to seamlessly assist a veterinarian with a host of services such as filing pet insurance claims, registering microchips, communicating with referring hospitals, and processing laboratory data, for example, directly with the supplier, this new technology will significantly impact the ease and efficiency of exchanging information compared to traditional methods. This is done via the veterinarian’s existing practice management software. Care providers and animal healthcare companies will experience:“Accurate, timely information is the lifeblood of the veterinary services industry,” said Kevin Grant, CEO of VetEnvoy. “Whether communicating treatment needs to the pet owner or having access to sources of diagnostic information, veterinary caregivers require the ability to quickly find and distribute information to deliver the highest quality of care. We’re honored to partner with ACT to bring this world-class solution to the industry.” David Grant, DVM (no relation), CEO of ACT added, “Combining ACT’s expertise in the animal healthcare industry in developing unique software solutions, combined with VetEnvoy’s leading-edge connectivity platform, will provide end users with an easy, secure, efficient transfer of data, that will dramatically impact dozens of day-to-day operational needs. We’re confident that this joint venture will be a win/win/win for the industry.” While many paperless applications are currently available through VetEnvoy, it is anticipated that this new and improved technology will be available by the end of 2012.
