Vets Now will be hosting a second webinar on its new ‘Cutting Edge’ ECC Training initiative on Wednesday 20th October at 8.30pm and is inviting vets interested in a career in ECC to log in for an introduction to the programme and life in emergency.
Presented by Vets Now Clinical Director and ECC Diplomate Amanda Boag, the second of the one hour webinars will give vets an insight into the content of the 10 week fast-track training programme, the second of which commences early January.
The current ‘Cutting Edge’ programme is well underway with the first intake of recruits entering week three of their training programme, a practical based element where the young vets will spend time in the on-site Vets Now laboratory, learning the latest in diagnostic techniques.
The appropriately named ‘Cutting Edge’ initiative, referencing the fast paced and “on the edge” nature of Emergency and Critical Care, is the first training programme of its kind in the UK and vets who are recruited on to the programme will take up a full time Veterinary Surgeon position in a Vets Now Emergency clinic following their 10 week training.
Vets Now has received a steady stream of applications since the initiative launched and is hosting another webinar to give vets thinking of joining the Cutting Edge programme a real insight into what training will entail, what to expect from the programme and what it’s like to work as a Veterinary Surgeon in an emergency clinic.
Graduates from between 2006 - 2010 who are interested in applying for a place on the ‘Cutting Edge’ training programme should contact the Vets Now recruitment team on 01383 841181 or email [email protected].
