Stephen DentonOn the 16th Feb Vets4Pets Denton will open its doors to the local community for the first time, making it Vets4Pets 88th practice. New Partner and owner Stephen Lindop VetMB, MRCVS, is originally from Hyde, Cheshire, growing up only a few miles from Denton. Stephen would pass what is now Vets4Pets Denton on the way to school every day and is now looking forward to practising in an area he knows so well. After working for just over 25 years in companion animal practice, Stephen was ready for his next big challenge. As with many of our Partners, Stephen really wanted the opportunity to stamp his own personality and ethics on a practice, which can be rather difficult to do when joining an existing Partnership. Stephen also wanted to get out of work what he puts in and look after clients and staff to a high standard. Stephen comments about his journey to becoming a partner: “Each step on the way has convinced me more that I am right for Vets4Pets and becoming a JVP is right for me. For me it has very much been the right opportunity at the right time. I already feel a different person from when I started the journey 5 months ago: I have grown in confidence and things that were way out of my comfort zone come easily. This I can largely put down to the support I have had from all levels - other practice JVPs, their staff, and the Vets4Pets support teams. I cannot speak highly enough of the friendliness and professionalism of everyone I have met along the way and especially the support team in Nottingham and Guernsey”. Stephen’s practice will officially open its doors on the 16th February, hosting a Gala open day with live music, fund raising for local animal charities, fun activities for the community and a tour around his brand new practice. Stephen adds: “I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to progress to operating my own practice knowing that the facilities, staff training and business support are all to the highest standards. I just want to get into the practice to start to enjoy it”. “We look forward to welcoming Stephen and his new team to the Vets4Pets family, we’re very excited for him, he has put everything into getting his practice open with a flying start, getting himself known in the new community and into the open day itself.” Malcolm Norman, Vets4Pets Partner Relations Manager. Stephen’s advice to other Vets: “To any fellow Vets looking for a Partnership I would Just say arrange that first meeting with Vets4Pets. If the opportunity feels right then find out more. At each step I have become more and more sure that this is the right opportunity for me”.
