The 2nd of March saw the opening of Vets4Pets’ 91st practice, the 4th Vet4Pets practice to open so far this year. Vets4Pets Bishopston in Bristol was opened by new Vet Partner Tom Crippen, who is now looking forward to running his own practice.
Having been aware of a Vets4Pets through a friend who already ran his own Vet4Pets practice in Sheffield, Tom decided that he too was ready to make the jump in his career.
“My real motivations to wanting to run my own practice are to allow me the clinical independence to treat patients the way I feel best, with Vets4Pets I am able to run the practice how I want to with the added support I wouldn't get if doing it alone” explains Tom.

After speaking to Mark Hanson, Partner Relations Manager at Vets4Pets, Tom’s journey to opening his doors was a relatively short one. The Bishopston site was already identified by the Vets4Pets Property Team as a great location for a new veterinary practice was only a 15 minute drive away from Tom’s home, so it was an opportunity Tom couldn’t ignore. Within only a couple of months Tom had visited other practices, met all the support teams and started making plans for his open day.
“I found the process quite quick, which is what I wanted, I had a good to look around other practices and talked to other JVP'S so I was confident in the approach of Vets4Pets and the support that would be available when I opened.” Said Tom.
If any Veterinary professionals would like to open their own practice like Tom, they can contact the Vets4Pets team on 0800 0280 513 or via email [email protected] for an informal chat.2908 views
