Vetstream Offers Access To Online CE Resources To Chulalongkorn University In Bangkok

Veterinary students at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, have just started to benefit from online clinical resources offered by Vetstream, which they started receiving free of charge from September 2015. Chulalongkorn, one of the leading universities in South East Asia, is one of ten veterinary schools in the region to receive 12 month licences to Vetstream's online clinical resources Canis (dogs), Felis (cats), Lapis (rabbits) and Equis (horses). It is receiving the licence as part of a package of support to veterinary schools agreed between Vetstream and the Federation of Asian Veterinary Associations (FAVA). The peer-reviewed tools feature content from more than 900 leading veterinary clinicians from around the world and are updated weekly. They are accessible from any internet-enabled device.
During a visit to the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Chulalongkorn University earlier this year to demonstrate the capabilities of Canis, Felis, Lapis and Equis, Dr G Mark Johnston, Managing Director of Vetstream met Professor Dr Achariya Sailasuta, Assistant Dean for Public Relations and Secretary General of FAVA. She said: "Vetstream's online CE resources will be very useful for our veterinary students and will also help them in self study after lectures. We hope they will be distributed among all the FAVA countries to help improve the standard of veterinary education across the region."
Mark Johnston added: "We are committed to supporting the learning of student veterinarians around the world, especially those in countries which do not have the ready access the high quality information resources we take for granted in the USA and Europe. We are delighted provide students at Chulalongkorn with our clinical resources and hope that they will find them helpful study aids."
Vetstream is also engaged in projects to support veterinary learning in other developing countries, including the African Small Companion Animal Network (AFSCAN), an initiative from the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) Foundation to raise standards of veterinary care across Africa.
