How would you respond if you took a reporter’s phone call out of the blue? Are you confident in handling the media, either during a crisis or as part of your day-to-day activities? These are just some of the questions that are being posed by the organisers of the Veterinary Marketing Association (VMA) Workshop to be held in September.
Event sponsor, Jane Manning of Splash Marketing explains: “How you handle the media can have a significant impact on your business, particularly its reputation.
“The workshop will be delivered by a team of professional media trainers who are also respected journalists, including former Farmers Weekly editor and Charles Abel, and TV and radio presenter David Addis. All delegates will have face-to-face and phone interviews to see just how probing journalists can be!” she adds.
The one-day workshop is relevant for anyone within an organisation who might have contact with the media, and it will deal with the most likely scenarios including day-to-day press contact, handling impromptu journalist requests and keeping your head in a crisis.
The workshop is being held on 25th September at Milton Keynes and costs £175+VAT for VMA members £225+VAT for non-members. This includes all course material and refreshments. For further information and to book visit www.vma.org.uk/vma-events or telephone 07710 5855891525 views
