Wear Referrals Open New State Of The Art Hospital With Comprehensive In-House Laboratory System Supplied By Woodley Equipment

Woodley Equipment is delighted to have supplied laboratory equipment to Wear Referral new state of the art veterinary hospital.

The new hospital, in County Durham, will allow Wear Referrals to expand their referral services and provide a better service to referring vets and pet owners. Their aim is that it will become a Centre of Excellence both clinically and educationally.

Wear Referrals new veterinary hospital facilities include 1.5T MRI (human MRI scanner), 16-slice CT scanner, fluoroscopy, a chemotherapy ward, a lecture theatre, a rehabilitation ward and a dedicated intensive care unit, and a comprehensive in practice laboratory. The in-practice laboratory will integrate with their practice computer using easyVet software for effective practice management.

Wear Referrals comprehensive In-Practice Laboratory includes:

Optika 35 Microscope with Moticam digital microscope camera - The Optika 35 Microscope is a trinocular microscope with white LED illumination, great for detailed examinations. The Moticam X wireless digital microscope camera can transform an existing microscope into a streaming, wireless system, which allows you to view, capture and edit live microscopic activity.

 

Skyla VB1 Clinical Chemistry Analyser - The Skyla VB1 is a fast, compact and accurate rotor based veterinary chemistry analyser ideal for any vet practice or small laboratory. Panel and single/dual testing is available.

i-Smart 30 Vet Electrolyte Analyser - The i-Smart 30 Vet is a portable electrolyte analyser with zero maintenance requirements. It performs accurate electrolyte analysis quickly, from whole blood, serum or plasma and displays results within 35 seconds.  It has an “all-in-one” cartridge containing all consumables required for the tests including reagents, waste, electrodes and sample probe.

Clinispin Horizon 842Vet - The Clinispin horizon 842VET is the most compact of the Performance Series centrifuges. The 842VET offers control over almost every aspect of the unit’s operation from variable acceleration and deceleration to easy time and speed input. High speed and force capability produces platelet-poor/free plasma and greatly reduces processing times.

TOSOH AIA 360 Endocrinology Analyser - The TOSOH AIA-360 Endocrinology Analyser is easy to use, and random access allows any combination of tests, in any order, at any time and a throughput of 36 results per hour with the first results resulting in 20 minutes. Key Assays Available includes Free T4, Total T4, Cortisol, Progesterone, ACTH, and Insulin.     

Eclipse Clinical Wet Chemistry Analyser - The Woodley Eclipse Analyser is a fully automated clinical chemistry analyser.
