Leading Veterinary Referral Specialists VRCC, based in Laindon Essex recently selected Basildon based Lombard Finance Ltd to fund their expansion and install a used “human” 1.5 Tesla MRI Scanner in their 15,000sqft Centre. These very powerful scanners are not readily available for Dog and Cat diagnosis in the UK because of their huge size, the magnet weighs over 6 tons and their considerable purchase and running costs. A new installation cost about £1.5m.
Shortly after the Lombard financed MRI installation was commissioned VRCC Practice Director and yachtsman Malcolm Holland raced his boat ‘Behave’ in the Ipswich based Foxes Yacht Sales ‘Beneteau’ weekend at Harwich and sailed to victory by just 14 seconds after a 3 hour battle against over 30 starters to win THE LOMBARD CUP.
Malcolm was delighted with his success on the water and with the MRI Scanner which has quickly established itself as an invaluable diagnostic tool at VRCC Veterinary Referrals. “We have worked with the team at Lombard for many years and can’t praise them too highly for their commercial knowledge and ability to put the right financial solutions together to meet our ever changing needs.”3643 views
