To celebrate the Year of the Horse, World Horse Welfare has launched an exciting competition encompassing creative abilities from children and adults.
There are three separate categories - colouring, poetry, and drawing & painting - in which amateurs and professionals alike are invited to draw, paint or write poetry on anything they fancy as long as it celebrates horses.
The winner of each category will have their work published in World Horse Welfare News, as well as the charity's website and social media channels.
For poets, painters and drawers the competition is open to adults (17 and over) and children (16 and under).
Colouring is open to children only (aged 10 and under) and each child gets the choice of four colouring sheets: Pony in Cambodia, Dylan the foal, Pony and groom or Jumping horse.
The charity is busy sourcing celebrity judges for the wonderful works of art and exciting prizes for the lucky winners - don't miss your chance to win by making sure that you submit your entries by midnight on the 1st October 2014.
Entrants must accompany submissions with their name, address and date of birth so that winners can be recognised and shouted about!
Entries can be sent in via email at [email protected] (using high quality scanned in copies or photographs), handed in at one of the charity's rescue and rehoming centres or sent by post after completing the correct downloadable form for your category to: Year of the Horse Competition, World Horse Welfare, Anne Colvin House, Snetterton, Norfolk, NR16 2LR.
All categories are free to enter, but of course any donations towards helping World Horse Welfare to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome more horses will be gratefully received by the charity - and its equine friends!
Forms and terms of conditions can be downloaded here: www.worldhorsewelfare.org/latestcompetition
The lucky winners will be announced on 1st December 2014.1593 views
