Zoetis Launches Fund-Raising Campaign For Royal Agriculture Benevolent Institution
Zoetis is supporting the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I) and The Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RSABI) to help raise awareness for the charity and highlight the many ways in which it helps the farming community.
Launching the support with a £10,000 donation, Zoetis will be taking part in the various campaigns run by R.A.B.I over the next twelve months to raise additional funds.
Sam Gayton, ruminants business unit director at Zoetis commented: “Most of the livestock team at Zoetis are from farming families or closely linked to farming and are very familiar with the invaluable work that R.A.B.I does, so this is a charity very close to our hearts and one we will be pulling out all of the stops to support over the coming year.
“We will be joining forces with R.A.B.I to take part in their four annual fundraising campaigns - Farmhouse Breakfast, Great British Beef Week, Cream Tea Campaign and Welly Week.”
Suzy Deeley, corporate development manager at R.A.B.I. added: “We are very grateful for Zoetis’ support. We are currently helping around 1500 farming families and providing financial help to the tune of around £2 million every year, so support from companies like Zoetis is very important to us. It will also help us to reach out to more people as we know there are so many more farming families in need of our help.”
R.A.B.I is a welfare charity set up to support farming people of all ages if they are in financial difficulty. Every application for support is treated with compassion, discretion and friendship and help can be provided in a number of ways from one-off payments, regular grants or supplying essential household items or disability equipment.
