Rachel James MA Vet MB Cert SAM Cert VC DVC MRCVS RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary CardiologyRachel graduated from Cambridge University in 1999 and spent four years in general practice in rural Lincolnshire. After a three-year residency in cardiology at University of Liverpool, Rachel worked in referral practice for a few years before joining the University of Nottingham as an Associate Professor in Cardiology. Rachel is the Supplements Editor for the Journal of Small Animal Practice and was previously the secretary for the European Society of Veterinary Cardiology. She is also currently one of the examiners for the RCVS Diploma in Cardiology.Rachels research interests include heart failure management and syncope in dogs. Teaching has always been important to Rachel and she devotes many hours to postgraduate teaching throughout the UK each year.
