About this course
Do you want to enhance your clinical practice by tackling some of the more straight forward fractures, but are not confident about how to proceed? This highly practical hands-on course will give you the confidence to take that next step.
This lecture and hands-on practical course including cadaver surgery will assist veterinarians in understanding the basic principles of internal fixation of fractures by means of plates and screws. The course will focus on the most commonly used plates and the use of lag screws. Preoperative planning and common complications will be discussed. This is a highly practical course, which will include plastic bones and surgical training on cadaveric limbs.
