The Cora Based Leveling Osteotomy (CBLO) is a new approach and technique to treat the cranial cruciate ligament rupture in dogs. The CBLO is a corrective osteotomy technique that similar to TPLO changes the position of the Tibial Plateau. The CBLO however addresses challenges like secondary (late) meniscal injuries, stress on caudal cruciate ligament, reduction of axis shift and secondary translation as well as mismatch of articulating surfaces.The Rita Leibinger CBLO system incorporates anatomically shaped implants made of Titanium for best biocompatibility.During the course the theoretical knowledge of cranial cruciate ligament ruptures and the indications for a CBLO will be presented.
