This vet and nurse course is ideal for practice teams who perform dental procedures together. The day will start with a joint practical session for both vets and vet nurses covering oral examination, probing and charting techniques, plus the administration of local anaesthetic nerve blocks.Vets will then have a purely cadaver-based practical day in the wet lab, practising extraction techniques with particular focus on the canines and carnassials, as well as root tip retrieval.Nurses will have an interactive, lecture-based day focusing on dentistry from a nursing perspective and covering common dental presentations encountered in practice.
