This course is designed to guide you through the thought processes required when choosing the most appropriate imaging tests for the neurological patient. The key to these patients is always the neurological examination which will be covered in detail in the first module. The second module will guide you through the imaging modalities available, giving the advantages and disadvantages of choosing radiography, MRI or CT and where each of these can play an important role in diagnosis. The following modules will give a combined neurological and imaging approach to the patients with vestibular, seizuring and spinal presentations. By the end of this course, you should be confident in your neurological examination, and know which imaging modality to choose based on your localisation and differential diagnoses list. The course notes will be supplemented by Webinars and case studies presented by RCVS and EBVS specialists in both Veterinary Neurology and Diagnostic Imaging. Modules: The neurological examination. An introduction to imaging modalities; what are their strengths and weaknesses. Imaging of the vestibular patient. Imaging of the seizuring patient. Imaging of the spinal patient.
