Speaker: Laura RosewllThis day will focus on nursing considerations for ICU patients, including dyspneic patients, anaemic patients, patients with advanced medical conditions, trauma patients, seizuring patients and acute post-surgical patients. The monitoring, management and nursing care of these conditions will be discussed, alongside interactive sessions on transfusion medicine, interpreting laboratory results in the ICU, and management of indwelling devices such as central venous catheters, feeding tubes and arterial lines.

The Speakers
Laura qualified in 2010 and went on to obtain the DipAVN and top-up degree in advanced veterinary nursing in 2014 2017. She currently works at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists, where her interests include medical nursing, feline nursing and critical care nursing, with a passion for nursing high-dependency medical patients. She is currently working towards the VTS in Small Animal Medicine and the ECC Nursing Certificate, and contributes regularly to the veterinary press.Laura the VN
