About this course
This course is scheduled to run on Thursday 17th October 2024 but the date may be required to change due to ongoing building works, please register your interest with us and we will contact you once the course is bookable.

Are you sure we can block that? How do you do it?!

This course aims to teach participants how to implement local anaesthesia techniques on a day-to-day basis in veterinary practice. The course is designed to cover information relevant for both vets and nurses and will consist of pre-recorded online lectures and on onsite practical day. The online material should be viewed prior to attending the practical day. We encourage vets and nurses from the same practice to attend the course so that a coordinated approach to analgesia in their practice can be developed. Relevant legislation will be covered.

Why do this course?
This course will be useful for those who want to start with the basic local anaesthesia techniques but also for those who want to improve/learn more advanced techniques. On the practical day we will start with a group session on anaesthesia planning, where participants will also be able to ask any questions relating to the online material. The rest of the day will consist of practical sessions where techniques will be demonstrated, before participants get the opportunity to learn and practice techniques with a tutor available to assist.

Course fees: Vet and nurse team £1248; Vet only £849; Nurse only £449
