Start time: 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Lymphoma is one of the commonest small animal neoplasms but it can often require a multi-disciplinary approach to diagnose and a patient-specific choice of therapy because lymphoma is, in fact, a group of related but distinct diseases. Understanding the differences between different lymphoma types allows for a more specific diagnosis, better monitoring of treatment and selection of targeted therapy. This maximises the opportunity to choose a well-tolerated protocol and achieve an extended period of good quality of life.
This interactive course, uniquely co-lectured by both a specialist clinical pathologist and oncologist, will provide an initial brief overview of lymphoma followed by specific case-based discussion on how to investigate, diagnose and then treat many of the various common types of lymphoma faced in practice. Each case will be extensively illustrated with images to run through the diagnosis and management, whilst allowing time for chatting about caveats or specifics that should be borne in mind when talking to owners. The course will give delegates the confidence to accurately diagnose and successfully manage these cases once back in practice.
Topics to be covered include:
Clinical presentation of lymphoma
Up to date targeted therapeutic protocols
Accurate diagnosis and clinical pathology
Case-based discussion – including alimentary lymphoma, cervical masses, extranodal, generalised lymphadenopathy and specific organomegaly
