Covering all aspects of medical nursing this course aims to provide delegates with the confidence to go back into practice fully equipped to deal with even the most challenging of cases. Beginning by looking at care bundles, nursing care plans and protocols – including how to implement them in your practice. Before moving on to how to identify the needs of medical patients and incorporate them into your nursing care plan. The nursing of specific medical cases, nutritional assessments and supportive feeding of hospitalised cases will also all be covered by this highly informative and interactive day.
Topics to be covered include:
Nursing gastrointestinal cases (including pancreatitis, vomiting, diarrhoea).
Nursing the diabetic – a hands on approach to monitoring
Analgesia, monitoring, measuring and control of acute and chronic pain.
Critical care nursing
Supportive feeding for hospitalised patients
