Fractured bones in cats are very common following any sort of trauma. Successful management of these cases can be challenging but also very rewarding. The aim of this course is to guide delegates through correct planning, surgical approaches and successful treatment of the most common fracture types in cats. The participants will gain experience in different fracture fixation techniques (e.g. bone plating, external fixation) and will have the chance to work with a variety of different implants and power tools.After this two day practical cadaver-based course, each delegate should have an understanding of the different fracture repair techniques and should be able to successfully master common fracture configurations.Topics to be covered include:Metacarpal fracture repairRadius and ulnar fracture repairTibial fracture repairFemoral fracture repairPelvic fracture repair acetabular and ilial body fracturesManaging sacroiliac and coxofemoral luxations
