This course will cover some of the more common, yet surgically complex, conditions of the respiratory tract. The course is aimed at veterinary surgeons comfortable in their surgical skills, and looking to be able to help patients in respiratory distress, compromise or discomfort, and if referral is not safe or possible.
Techniques to be covered include:
Alar resection
Nosectomy
Rhinotomy
Tonsillectomy
Palate surgery (including folding flap palatoplasty)
Laryngeal tieback
Tracheotomy and tracheostomy
Chest drain placement
Diaphragmatic hernia repair.
