Setting Up and Running Successful Nurse Clinics and Client EveningsThere are many veterinary surgeries that are not currently using nurses to their full potential in practice, and one of the biggest opportunities being missed is running nurse clinics and client information events. Nurses can be forefront at providing crucial advice for pet owners, while freeing up vet appointments and generating extra revenue for the practice. This course will give nurses the confidence to go back to practice and embark on setting up their own clinics and client information events steered towards their own interests and specialities. The day will cover the initial process of coming up with a plan for your clinics/events and what you hope to cover or achieve from them, marketing the idea to ensure they are successful, and how to convince your boss that your time spent doing clinics/events will be worthwhile for the practice! It will then look at specific clinics in more detail so you can see how to make them work for you including:-New puppy/kitten checksAdolescent health checksSenior pet clinicsTravelling pet clinicsDental clinicsPain management clinicsWeight ManagementPet first aid courses for pet ownersEveryone will be encouraged to come up with a plan for a clinic/event they want to set up which they can then take back to practice with them.
