This two-day course will cover common abdominal conditions and surgeries through a step-by-step practical approach. Topics will include biopsy techniques of all the major abdominal organs, surgery of the gastro-intestines including resection-anastomosis, pexy techniques and omentalisation/serosal patching, cystotomy and cystectomy, cholecystectomy and partial liver lobectomy. The goal is to make this course as practical as possible; numbers are limited to maximise individual teaching time in the lab, allowing delegates of mixed ability to all benefit from a tailor-made program.TOPICS TO BE COVERED: Biopsy technique of all major abdominal organs Surgery of the gastro-intestinal system Cadaver-based practical sessions
