About this course
Do you want to help your clients and their companions live the best moments in the final weeks or hours of their lives?
Whether it be due to chronic illness, accident or unexpected acute deterioration in health, many care-givers will struggle with saying goodbye and want to maximise their final time they have left together. This course will explore how to support these patients and their families in the palliative care setting by identifying and addressing signs of discomfort, through open and honest discussions thus promoting comfort and wellbeing for the limited time they may have together.
In addition to the practical nursing applications within this course, you will be provided with examples and resources to help navigate challenging and sensitive discussions which aim to provide the patient, care-team and the client with the most compassionate of outcomes.
