The aim of this course is to provide a practical approach to the investigation of cats presenting with anaemia and/or jaundice. It will review the most common causes of regenerative and non-regenerative anaemia and hepatic and post-hepatic jaundice in cats and explore the treatment options open to the general practitioner.Topics to be covered include:Interpretation of the feline haemogramCommon causes of regenerative and non-regenerative anaemia in catsPractical tips on collection of bone marrow samplesHow to give a blood transfusion in practiceCommon causes of hepatic and post-hepatic jaundice in the catDiagnosis and treatment of inflammatory liver diseases / cholangitis, acute pancreatitis and hepatic lipidosis
