About this course
Are you using or planning to use computed tomography (CT) in your practice?
This online course will help you to understand the CT technology and the diagnostic utilisation of CT in thoracic and abdominal imaging, including abdominal and thoracic CT angiography. It will equip you with the knowledge to successfully integrate CT in your small animal veterinary practice – onsite or offsite.
A review of practically applicable CT technology used in small animals will lay the foundation for understanding the information displayed on CT images and also help to optimise image acquisition for practitioners who have a CT unit onsite.
Discovering the normal cross-sectional regional anatomy of the thorax and abdomen and further work through cases in light of applicable diseases will strengthen your diagnostic approach when utilising CT exams or recommending referral of a small animal patient for CT exam for suspected thoracic and abdominal disease. Practical review of the vascular anatomy and CT angiography techniques for the thorax and abdomen will allow you to take your knowledge one step further!
Why do this course?
This course will help you to utilise CT on or off site and build your confidence in performing and interpreting CT studies in dogs and cats.
