An evening of Small Animal Dentistry with 2 members of the Eastcott Referral Dentistry Team.An Introduction to Small Animal Veterinary Dental RadiographyTutored by: Ingrid Tundo DVM, MRCVSIntroductionIncluding: why imaging is so important in veterinary dentistry, equipment, head radiology and intraoral x-rays.Principles of radiological interpretationIncluding: orientation and anatomy, focus on cats, focus on dogs, x-ray interpretations, periodontal disease, endodontic disease, tooth resorption lesions, un-erupted teeth, trauma and tumours.Review of Tooth Resorption. Pathology, Diagnosis and Treatment Planning Tutored by: Andrew Perry BVSc Dip EVDC MRCVS EBVS? European Veterinary Specialist in DentistryTooth resorption is a common condition of cats but is also frequently identified in dogs. This presentation will review the epidemiology and current understanding of pathology. There will be a review of clinical diagnosis, including radiographic interpretation and decision making when planning treatment. Additionally, there will be a discussion on techniques that are particularly useful when performing extractions of teeth affected by resorption. The order of the speakers may vary. This event may run over to allow questions and discussion.
